Research not reportage - ASR seeks to produce “real” research - Original ideas that provide analysis and insight, not simply reporting on events that have happened.

Challenge - We are seeking to identify where the anomalies are. Too much research seeks to confirm the consensus or the conventional. We are looking for the things that should not be happening - the real "Black Swans" not the imagined ones!

Charts that make you go WOW! We love charts - especially long-run charts, preferably 40 years - but often 100 years. We are constantly looking for the surprises in the data!

Multiple time horizons - We believe that different types of research and investment tools are required for the different investment time horizons of our clients.

A willingness to engage - We are not writing our research as a publishing house. We value face to face interaction with our clients and providing bespoke answers to their investment needs.
