ASR’s Directors – David Bowers and Ian Harnett

Absolute Strategy Research was founded in 2006 by Ian Harnett and David Bowers.

David and Ian each bring to ASR over 20 years of experience in investment research and have established strong global client franchises.

One unique feature of Absolute Strategy is that each of the Managing Directors has been voted as the leading European equity strategist in the Extel surveys and both have been top 3 rated in the Institutional Investor survey.

David leads for ASR on the Global economic and market outlook and our thematic analysis - we like to think of this role as ASR's "cartographer". Ian leads for ASR on European economics and market strategy, becoming the "navigator" for ASR's clients.

The synergies that emerge through David and Ian working as "cartographer" and "navigator" are central to ASR's research.

Together they formulate ASR’s overall view of investment markets and the key emerging themes of which our clients need to take note.
