Peter McGahan
Chief Executive Officer
Peter joined ASR as CEO in May 2024 and brings a wealth of experience, most recently as UK Head of Commercial and Transaction Banking at Société Générale. Prior to this Peter was Head of UK Equities and Derivative Sales at SG London after being Deputy Head of the SG New York Markets business. In NYC, he has led its markets sales activities, a role he had also played in both SG Paris and London. Peter’s 30+ year career has also seen him in senior roles at both Citigroup and Schroders Securities.

Peter is the Chief Operating Officer and has over 30 years’ experience working in financial services in senior operational and technical roles. Most recently he was COO of HSBC’s Global Research division. He was also CTO for Global Equity Advisory at UBS. Peter is now on the Executive Board of Euro IRP.

David is ASR's Chairman and has over 40 years of experience within financial markets. He regularly undertakes marketing trips on a global scale and presents to institutional investors across the US, Europe, and Asia. Previously, he was chief global investment strategist for Merrill Lynch, where he worked for eleven years - including three years in New York - and ran the Global Fund Managers' Survey, a powerful tool for understanding how investors view the world. David makes regular appearances on CNBC & Bloomberg television.

Ian is Chief Investment Advisor, focusing on Global Economics and Strategy. He has over 35 years of experience within economics & equity strategy and makes regular appearances on CNBC & Bloomberg television. He regularly visits clients within the US, Asia, and Australia and often hosts Absolute Connect Webinars alongside an exclusive selection of clients. He was previously Chief European Investment Strategist at UBS (where he was #1 Extel ranked for European Strategy).
Verity Hunt
Global Head of Sales

Verity is the Global Head of Sales and is ranked in the top 3 (and often #1) by Extel in the Global and European Economics and Strategy and Multi Asset categories. Verity liaises across Europe, the US, and Australia, managing the ASR specialist macro sales teams. Prior to joining the firm, Verity was Head of UK Equity Sales and Macro Specialist Sales at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson, and now has over 30 years of experience in the sector. She attended the University of Oxford, attaining a MA in Modern History.
