Head of Research
Nick heads up ASR's Research team, he joined ASR after 17 years at UBS Investment Bank, most recently as Managing Director, Head of European Equity Strategy. He regularly contributes to media, such as Financial Times, CNBC, Bloomberg TV, WSJ, and cross-asset media roundtables.

Dominic White has 15 years’ experience, working first at the UK Treasury and latterly on the number-one ranked European economics team at ABN Amro covering the UK and eurozone economies.

Andrea Cicione
Andrea brings more than 20 years of experience in macro strategy, asset allocation and portfolio construction across the buy side, sell side and independent research. Most recently, he led cross-asset investment strategy and designed multi-asset model portfolios for institutional clients at TS Lombard.

Charles Cara
Charles Cara has been a European Strategist at Merrill Lynch and has worked in the research departments at Dresdner Kleinwort and Morgan Stanley.

Zahra Ward-Murphy
Zahra covers alternative and real assets. Before joining ASR, Zahra worked as a global economist at Dresdner Kleinwort, and as an FX analyst at both Dresdner Kleinwort and BNP Paribas. She is a CFA charterholder.

Emerging Market Economist
Adam Wolfe
Covering China and emerging markets for over 15 years, Adam has contributed to the FT, WSJ, Bloomberg and The Economist, and recently to The US-China Economic & Security Review Congressional Commission. He was previously a Strategist at MRB and the Director of Asia Ex-Japan at Roubini Global Economics.

Ben Blanchard joined ASR as an economist in September 2016, most recently focusing on European economics. He holds a degree in Economics from the University of Bath.

Michael Penn
Michael is Head of Climate Macro Strategy, advising investors on how to integrate climate change factors into the drivers of views on macroeconomics, strategy and asset allocation. Prior to ASR he was Chief Economist and Strategist at Cohen & Steers in New York, and spent eight years at Merrill Lynch in New York and London.

Michael Hessel has been with ASR since September 2011, focusing on political economy and political risk in Europe, as well as thematic research. Prior to joining, Michael read Politics & Philosophy at Edinburgh University.

Will Moss
Will joined ASR in January 2025 as a Junior Analyst within the Research Department. He will be working across the whole of Research supporting and contributing to our top-ranked product. Will spent the last 3 years at Fenchurch Advisory Partners, most recently as an Investment Banking Associate, and has an Economics degree from Cambridge University.

Jeffrey Marine
Jeff is Head of Absolute Strategy Research Services, the firm’s institutional investor client business in North America. He previously spent nearly 30 years with Merrill Lynch, Nomura, and HSBC in various roles, including Head of Equity Sales teams in New York and London. Jeff earned an MBA in Finance at the Wharton School and a BA in Economics at the University of Virginia.

James joined ASR from CFRA, where he spent over 3.5 years on the Institutional Sales Team across EMEA. James has over 10 years experience in institutional research sales, primarily across equities and macro strategy in both Hong Kong and London.

Luke MacRedmond
Luke is head of ASR’s Australasian business. His prior experience includes portfolio management roles in London and Dublin and senior executive positions for HSBC Asset Management and Challenger Financial Services in Australia.
