Nick shared his views on European markets, noting their strong start to the year with eight weeks of outperformance. While Europe has historically lagged, some valuations remain attractive. However, from a macro and profits perspective, the U.S. is in a stronger position, leading to a neutral stance on Europe.
Within Europe, Germany’s DAX has been a standout, driven more by stock-specific factors—such as Rheinmetall, SAP and Siemens Energy—than by macro data.
Upcoming elections and potential fiscal policy shifts, including increased defence spending, could further influence market sentiment.
